Meghan Trainor: All About That Bass Meaning
Song Released: 2014
All About That Bass Lyrics
I'm all about that bass
bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
bout that bass
Yeah it's pretty clear, I...
-
This song is about being yourself...u do not need anything to be something. The beauty must be inside and outside not only outside.Be just the way u are
-
I love this song. Meghan Trainor is trying to convey that you're perfect and beautiful just the way you are. Don't change a thing. :D
-
Oh good lord. Why is everyone focusing on "go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that" and ignoring, "nah, I'm just kidding, I know you think you're fat, I'm here to tell you every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top." This song is about loving your body regardless of its shape or size. It's a fun beat with a good message, God forbid we just enjoy that.
-
If you've done music (or even read music sheets).. bass is the round one and the treble is the tall thin one. I was bit confused about this one but then it hit me...
-
Its saying that just because your skinny or fat your perfect the way you are, and that trying to 'Photoshop' how you look just so you can fit in with society is wrong. Because its not about the size you are that should matter. Its saying that she is proud of her body and that every one else should be proud of their body's too.
-
Just askin. What does the chorus have to do with the rest of the song?
-
She isn't saying that being skinny or thin is a bad thing, she's just saying she isn't that way and that's okay with her. You may find it offensive the she calls them bitches, but she does not mean every single one of them. In her perspective they seem like that because they may have been the ones telling her to lose weight or that she isn't pretty, yet she's beautiful. It's a good song and she's singing about something she's been through.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
It's basically "everyone is perfect and beautiful, inside and out. except skinny people. fuck them, they're hoes for not being fat"
could've been a better song if it supported both fat AND skinny people, tbh. -
it's about loving who you are, no matter what. if you're skinny, or fat, hairy, or hairless.
-
It's about
'I'm not skinny, but everyone is perfect, except those stick thin bitches, and also that that more flesh is obviously better than being skinny -
I can guarantee that some people who are offended have eating disorders. I just want to say after reading some of these comments that when I first heard this song I was offended because a skinny friend shared it with me. I like it now though because I listened to it a few times. I thought your sharing this song with me because I'm fat! then I started to feel more confident at the larger size I am right now. 5'8 200 pounds. I might be 150 next month though. & it inspires me to see someone happy with her size. I want to do that too. and be healthy like my real kind of healthy that eats everyday.
-
It's about how you should be proud of your shape or size. She as the singer of the song just wants to put out that she's comfortable, and you should too.
-
She was referring to skinny girls thinking they were fat in the song! She said in the song "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top." She was referring to skinny girls as being beautiful the way they are as well. Listen to the song again and stop twisting it!
-
She's basically saying that if you don't have curves, you aren't what men want. Why can't she love her body without the catty remarks to thin people?
