Sister to Sleep Lyrics

Welcome to this institution
One way to resolution
I'm put on this medication
Rolls down my throat

Cause I can't ever sleep at night the same
This medication enjoys, enjoys most every day

Cause I close my eyes
I see land

It sounds like its about being in an institution for killing ur sister from the "into this institution" "put on this medication rolls down my throat (this medications evil its almost every day)" and the "what did I say to put sister to sleep" "to another level hotter than hell they said were not savages until we do it again" it sounds like you're in an institution and being on medication because you killed your sister and now he regrets it and doesn't want to go to sleep (that's probably what the medications for) because every time he closes his eyes he envisions hell because of it

I think that the guy's sister here is infected by a virus, then she has been "Put to sleep", just like how doctors do to dogs when they get rabies.

correct me if i am wrong but...
i believe this song is about a guy in an institution because he killed his sister (What did I say to put sister to sleep?), he regrets (I'm never going to sleep)and wants to be forgiven (Don't let me sleep tonight
And get in your way tonight).
So... that was my interpretation of the song.

Actualllllyyyy, they wrote this song for that movie that come out, uhm...Freddy vs Jason. They were going to put a song onto the soundtrack of the movie.
    But it didn't happen.
It fits into the movie, I think.
    Good song; love it. :)

Disenchanted began it's life as a song played at soundchecks. MCR decided to work on it, and played it live a few times, announcing it as either 'Sister To Sleep' or 'Shut Up And Play'. When they went in to record The Black Parade, they worked on the song to turn it into Disenchanted.

Search youtube for "mcr shut up and play" to hear the song before it got turned into Disenchanted. It's very similar to the final version!

Isn't this song about how this girl's brother rapes her or something and she doesn't want to go to sleep cos he'll rape her again.
