My Chemical Romance: The End Meaning
The End Lyrics
Wipe off that makeup
What's in is despair
So throw on the black dress
Mix in with the lot
You might wake up and notice you're someone you're not
If you look in the mirror and don't like what...
-
Duh
Guys...c'mon
The entire CD is a story line
#1 he's dying
#2 he's dead (ish) (his pulse stops)
Then he like remembers his life
Then in the last one..(AKA this one)
He is revived by the doctors
You guys are so oblivious
And have no appreciation for music
Sorry if I'm to rough

I think MRO and shiorysm are right. This song represents the new mcr, they have grown as a band, lyrically and are writing more meaningful music, that's why it is track 1. also it's telling their fans that they shouldn't be like everyone else they need to grow as individuals. Shiorysm is right because I think the song has a double meaning, like it's introducing "the patient" (the character of the whole album).
-
I think it's about being dead.
And how you shouldn't be so pessimistic about it, atleast in the 1st part...
The first part is like a voice being happy about death.
The second part is like another voice fearing death. -
It is my chemical romance saying don't be somebody your not and change, no matter how hard it is.
-
It is telling the audience to stop being something their not. Take off the makeup that doesn't show who they really are and mcr is changing to do the same thing. It is like the death of the old.
