Basically Holly Hox is a girl who broke this guys heart. So he throws his heart out bc he no longer wants to feel broken (who can relate?). So he spends a lot of time wallowing and sulking. He now just wants to get away where it’s drama free and he is free to be himself. Since he can’t get away he desperately goes to her house and gets her parents involved in the break up. (Never a good idea, you look weaker.)
Long story short, he realizes who she really was and is now taking control of his life and will not be played for a fool again.
This song is pretty straight forward.. (prolly why there’s no meaning to it). I think we’ve all had a Holly Hox in our lives at one point.
