Wolves Lyrics

Verse:
In your eyes, there's a heavy blue
One to love, and one to lose
Sweet divine, a heavy truth
Water or wine, don't make me choose

Pre-Chorus:
I wanna feel the way that we did that summer night, night
Drunk on a feeling, alone with...

Gomez has always been open about her struggle with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. In early September, the singer shared on social media that she underwent a kidney transplant due to complications from the disease.
Upon announcing the title of her new song, many were quick to think it was about her recent health struggles. For starters, this is the first song she has released since announcing her transplant. Second, as any Latin major will tell you, the word "wolf" is "lupus" in Latin.

This..this song has a lot of meaning to me.

One of my friends moved away only after a few months of getting to be friends. He didn't know where he was moving to, and it'll be almost year this November.

"In your eyes, there's a heavy blue," reminds me of this friend because he didn't really have a good family life. He was constantly pretending to be happy, but I could see the pain in his eyes.

"Alone with the stars in the sky," has a different meaning to me then most people. This friend felt that everyone was better than him. Stars, he would call them, while he was 'just a stone.'

"I've been running through the jungle, I've been crying with the wolves, to get to you," is basically me trying to find him, which is going to pretty much impossible. He could be anywhere. A N Y W H E R E

"Your fingertips, trace my skin, to places I, have never been," is different to me than most of you guys here probably. He had a thing about people touching him, which is to say he would flinch and pull away. He only let me hug him because I was the only one he could trust, in his eyes.

"I've looked for love in every stranger
Took too much to ease the anger," is him and his emotions. He hid his anger and looked at everyone, trying to see if they would be his friend, but no one did except for me.

"Wolves," the world in general reminds me of him. His brown eyes were full of some sort of untamed wilderness and sadness that remind me of a wolf's.

    Please no hate.

Losing a loved one maybe? Not death lose, but maybe something simple like moving away, or something similar..

I think she loves someone and she is trying to find them to confess her love to them or something like that.

Maybe I'm the only one to think this, but I personally think it's about a passion. She is trying to "chase down" a passion.

Selena wants Justin back but she cant screw up her relationship with the weeknd because if she does, well, she will hate herself. She has looked for the same love that Justin has but can't find it. The Weeknd has different love that she eases her anger with to get over Justin.

Wolves to me is about her trying to ease anger and pain. She is trying to find the one that will help her.
