Patience Lyrics

You hit me up
It's late at night
This is the same old story
Your friends should take your phone away
I always give in when you tell me lies to reassure me
I always make the same mistakes, yeah
Ooh you give a little taste
Love me and then...

This song is about a relationship Shawn is in but they want to play games with him by saying they love him and then saying they don't anymore but changing their mind every day or saying they're committed to the relationship but then say they don't want to be in it anymore and then decide they do and they're confusing Shawn and he's telling them he's losing his patience with them and their games.

I think that in this song Shawn is talking about liking someone but they are playing games with him. He talks about how the person hits him up late at night presumably for sex but then when he wakes up in the morning they are gone. This is saying that they are really only there for the sex and even though they say they love him they really don’t. Then he talks about how he wants them to himself for a real relationship and the person says they will but then they don’t. And when he says he is losing his patience he is basically saying he is done with the games and if you don’t really want him than leave.
