Jump, bounce, up, down
I went out on a date
With a girl, a bit late
She had so many friends
Gliding through many hands
I brought my pogo stick
Just to show her a trick
She had so many friends
Gliding through many hands
Jump...

Hmmm I think that this song is a cross between an actual storyline and sillyness. Now I think that it was about having sex with many women (pogo stick heheh) and the "bounce" part probably describes wild sex. However I think the song is put in a very comical way, so I wouldn't bother pondering over it. *wink*

This song is in fact about sex and heroine both together. Think about it, a syringe for a drug looks like a pogo stick and how the heroine effects the hormones making the user want to have sexual contact with another.

This as to me 2 meanings
    1: an orgy
    Or 2: A mass murder
Im going to go into the murder one since the orgy is self explenatory
The Pogo stick is the gun and eveey time serj says pogo that is a shot. When he says jump bounce up down hes describing the victim way of trying to escape.
The first verse is the setup he goes on a date and the girl invites her friends who also become victims.
The second verse it what he does with the bodies, he puts them in a pile which resemples a game of twister and he notices how pretty the are which explains the runway and extoic lines.
Last verse is just more of what he does to bodies.
That my more unseen theory what do you think?

I think its about rape. A deranged man goes on a "date" with a girl (possibly stalking her) and follows her out at night. He follows her to her friends and reveals himself. His pogo stick is his dick (obviously) and he wants to show her and her oh "so many friends" a "trick". Gliding through many hands is him forcing them all or even drugging them (a diffrent pogo stick) to have sex with him. The jump bounce up down and repeated pogo is the actual action of him raping them. Now the second part where he was saying unanounced was the games signafies him sneaking up upon them and doing his way with them. "All players with no names They lined up double quick" He didnt know them They didnt know him It was seemingly random and he didnt care who they were or what they felt. They just wanted to get out of there and not be hurt so they "lined up" or was possibly bound. He sees it as a sick game, "everyone gets to play" and lets them run. It turns him on to watch them scared and try to get away, and he sees it as "exotic". Again the action of the rape. "Oh id like to spread you out, touching who evers behind" The game again for him. Jump pogo pogo pogo pogo Bounce pogo pogo pogo pogo

I feel this songs is about a person who goes on a date with a girl and brings a gun aka the pogostick and when the Serj says pogo it is actually a shot from the gun and when he says Jump bounce down up it is describing the actions of the girl and her friends running away

My interpretation is meth use. It starts out I went out late. Tweekers are up all night sometimes for several days without sleep. They went to get high with her friends...He had the only syringe out of all her friends. Which if taking into consideration sharing a needle with someone including their friends, then in your mind even one person could feel like "so many". The hesitancy only lasts a moment because getting that dope in your vein is top priority its urgent. Now high you pass on your syringe ( pogo stick) to next person and keeps passing. Gliding because its going fast and remaining reliable for each use. Everyone is high. They're all so spun they're bouncing off the walls jumping up and around unable to be still. He is feeling like the hero of the group because it was HIS syringe that fed everyone the drug. The high euphoria makes him feel turned on by all these friends relying on his pogo stick. He thought exotic rather than negligent or fear for sharing his needle with everyone. Everyone gets to play. His good sense has been replaced by the meth euphoria. His pogo stick sharing Jump bounce up down high is far more disturbing to him days later while sobering up. Now the memory is haunting him. The regret the fear the what was I thinking? Pops in his head over and over.

A lot of you see it as a song about heroin, and you may be right. I think it's about a guy and a girl and a lot of her friends having sex. It does say he went out late with a girl and she had so many friends. the chorus clearly is talking about sexual intercourse. And yes a pogo stick resembles a needle, but i think they are referring to a dick here. and is passed around, but the lyrics say "gliding through many hands" not passing. I think gliding through many hands referrs to a guy getting a hand job from many of the girls.

It's about casual sex. People going out and just fucking everyone... "un-announced twister games, all players with no names"
Meaningless empty sex. It's a bit of a political statement about how the media portrays that if you aren't in a comitted relationship and you aren't out having heaps of sex your life is meaningless. Serj said so himself.

Yeah actually i think this song is about an adventure of one of the group members. He went on a date with girlfriend but there was a surprise waiting for him. "Twister games" You know that twister is a game which many ppl are very close and in different positions (yeah it's about sex) "Gliding through many hands" ppl touching her. "All players with no names" That guy doesn't even know thease ppl but he have sex with them. "Just one pogo stick" Says he was the only man in there. The "pogo stick" is (sorry mum) penis. I think that after reading this i don't have to explain "Bounce, Jump, Up, Down" and "It was so exotic" :D

    It has two meanings:

    1. (Child) It's about something that happened on Serj's childhood. He got a real pogo stick and he show to his girlfriend and she had so many friends, and he could make a trick with the pogo stick and he showed it to her and her friends. Then hi was jumping with it and the friends of his girl friends spread out, leaving space to him to jump and bounce, then he lent the toy to them.

    2. (Adult) I know that the song has a sex meaning by the part that says "gliding through many hands" meaning that they masturbated Serj's "pogo stick". In this meaning is about an orgy, he fuck all them.

I think it generally describe a type of person (someone that likes to party, have sexual intercourse, and do drugs), like many of System Of A Down songs, it have a broad range of meanings, I can't say this means that, if I did, that would be to bias. But I have a specific interest in the meanings they have. I'm going to explain each of the three I have mention:
Sexual Intercourse: Jump, bounce, pogo. All are references of the meaning of having sex.
Party: The bouncing and saying only one pogo stick references to the person parting, as they jump it's like having a pogo stick for legs.
Drugs: Players with no names, dealers of drugs, that is all I see about drugs in this song.
