Burn in Hell Lyrics

WELCOME TO THE ABANDONED LAND
COME ON IN CHILD, TAKE MY HAND
HERE THERE'S NO WORK OR PLAY
ONLY ONE BILL TO PAY
THERE'S JUST FIVE WORDS TO SAY
AS YOU GO DOWN, DOWN, DOWN

YOU'RE GONNA BURN IN HELL
OH, BURN IN HELL

YOU CAN'T BELIEVE ALL...

    Theories are clear circulating that this song may be about the so called 'Angel of Death' Dr. Mengele, a sadistic Nazi scientist who worked in concentration camps throughout his life, and was infamous for his experiments on the human body and anatomy, one such example is his 'Twin Experiment'.

    The intros lyrics, which talk about the abandoned land, and come on child, is a reference to how Mengele was very friendly to children coming into the camps he worked at. The 'abandoned land' being a third person explaination of what the camps were like.

    'There's just five words to say as you go down, down, down..' is a half first and third person writing from the viewpoint of Mengele and an outside narrator, possibly relating to some unknown possibly comforting words Mengele may have said to children, and the 'down, down, down' relating to their soon to come fate. Death.

    When 'Burn in Hell' is shouted in the song apart of the lyrics is a very complex double meaning lyric. The phrase 'Burn in Hell' does literally mean what his presumed fate was after death, eternal damnation in hell. Well 'Burn in Hell' may also be a reference to getting caught by Nazi Hunters after World War Two. (Mengele did survive World War Two and continued to live life until 1979, where he died in São Paulo, Brazil.)

    'You can't believe all the things I've done wrong in my life' is a first person view of Mengele speaking to himself or a fictional court.

    'Without even trying, I've lived on the edge of a knife!' Is a sadistic first person reference to the saying that if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. It's presumed by historians Mengele loved what he did for the Party.

    'Well I've played with fire, I don't want to get myself burned.' Is a double standard first person view from Mengele in which he is saying he admits to his extremely evil deeds, but he doesn't want to face trial for it.

    'To thine own self be true, so now I think it's time for a turn.' Is a first person form of speech in which Mengele is telling himself that he knows who he is, and what he did, but he must make a new identity to even survive.

    'Before I burn in hell, oh burn in hell!' Is a first person speech in which Mengele says he must change his identity before he gets caught.

    'Take a good look into your heart, and tell me what do you see? It's black and it's dark, now is that how you want it be?' Is a third person narrator asking Mengele to look at himself and ask himself if this is how he really wants to live.

    'It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate. But make your choice now, for tomorrow may be, far too late!' Is a third person narrator, an Angel and for even more coincidence, the Angel of Death himself speaking to Mengele shortly before his death or at a cross roads in his life.

    'And then you'll burn in Hell.' Is the angel, possibly of Death, telling Mengele that no matter what he does, his spot in Hell is forever sealed.

    'Hear no evil, don't you see no evil, don't you lay no evil down on me. Speak no evil, don't you think no evil, don't you play with evil, cause I'm free.' The background chorus segment is Mengele's consciousness speaking to himself to never remember, talk about, or even research what he did now that it was public information, to save his life.

    When the lead vocals repeats the chorus segment of;
    'Hear no evil, don't you see no evil, don't you lay no evil down on me. Speak no evil, don't you think no evil, don't you play with evil, cause I'm free.' But in primary vocals, is Mengele speaking out loud to himself.

    The dark, sadistic background chorus of simply;
    'You're gonna burn in hell.'
    Is the Angel of death, and presumably all of his victims speaking to him in his mind.

    The repeat of the chorus segment;
    'Hear no evil, don't you see no evil, don't you lay no evil down on me. Speak no evil, don't you think no evil, don't you play with evil, cause I'm free.' And a mix of the 'You're gonna burn in Hell. Oh burn in Hell' is two conflicting sides of Mengele's mind, in which the front vocals of 'You're gonna burn in Hell.' Is him accepting his fate, but the chorus of;
    'Hear no evil, don't you see no evil, don't you lay no evil down on me. Speak no evil, don't you think no evil, don't you play with evil, cause I'm free.' Is him also telling himself he still has a chance.

    The song closes with a fantastic guitar and drum solo.
