Almost Human Lyrics
That you should treat me this way?
Is it really such a crime,
For an angel to speak his mind?
In time I'll try to shed some light.
If I were a big boy I wouldn't cry,
But since I'm not a big boy I'll have to...
-
The song is about Christ's self loathing over his destiny of quasihumanity/quasideity superpositioning. That he's almost a human being; The crying in "If I were a big boy I wouldn't cry / but since I'm not a big boy I'll have to cry(/close my eyes and picture what it's like)" represents the lack of whole Godhood ('not a big boy') but he's as the album states /Almost Human/. Not of man, not fully god... "Don't touch me, no I couldn't bear the thought of it now."
