I think you need to reread The Count of Monte Cristo. Or just read it. Because you obviously got the entire book wrong if you think Dantes killed Mercedes. That never happens. Ever. Mercedes didn't even know of the plot against him in the beginning of the novel. I'm sorry, but I love that book, and the character, so I just had to bring that out.

i think its abot a boy who was abused when he was kid by his father then by other people (weak minded people). this probably took place in three situations: the movie night of the hunter with the cellmate hunting the kids, then in the count of monte cristo with the main character getting back at the people who did him wrong, and finally the south because of the part of the hanging thing.
Night of the hunter movie:the kids are being chased by the cellmate and other people but they"rise above it" then the fact that they have to run away "dont be afraid of the dak" then finally the cell mate chasing them" the devils inside"
South: the hanging thingy in the lyrics
The Count of Monte cristo: "honset to god i would break your heart. tear you to pieces and rip you apart" this probably relates to the fact that the main charcter killed mercedes.
well thats all i got its not the greatest but i hope it helped
