Black Sabbath: Die Young Meaning
Song Released: 1980
Die Young Lyrics
-
Is to live each day like it's your last tomorrow is never guaranteed a verse in the song (just live for today tomorrow never comes)
-
I feel that it has nothing to do with age whatsoever. I believe ti means literally to "die young" even if you are a hundred years old. Don't lose your youth. Don't lose your ability to wonder, play, and be spirited daily, and have a child like faith in a greater good.
-
It obviously is not a song that encourages youngsters to die young. It obviously is way before the Ke$hit song.
I think it's about living too fast. Having success too fast in life, with more money than one can handle.
It can also be about feeling invincible in one's youth therefore thinking nothing can harm them.
All in all, Sabbath songs are even greater in the sense that a lot of them are VERY deep, & can easily be taken the wrong way on first listen.
