   I think it's about a weird relationshaip he ahd, where he was going out with one of those girls who always breaks up with you to make a point, and then the next minute you get back together. She wants to feel like she's in control of him. So finally he snaps and won't take her back..but that's just the way I hear it!

I think he feels guilty in a sarcastic way. because of the line "So call it quits or get a grip" and "I sneak to your bed to pour salt on your wounds".
