   I think it's about being there for your angel... someone who stops their own agenda to always be there for you, look after you, and take you under their wing. In this song, he's basically being an angel to his angel who is going through a difficult time.

   -I think he's telling her not to forget about what they had and he won't let her go. The song mentions that he's ready to surrender and that he tried to face the fight within. He sort of gives up. It sounds like he's falling into his temptations, which might be the girl he loves. He lets her know that he'll be there for her even when their future looks bleak. It's obvious that he wants their love to live forever. She's his fallen angel and only the darkness remains. He gave up trying to fight it and wants to live in her darkness with her. The song is about an intense love that he's unwilling to let her go and will live in the darkness if it means being with her.

   I think this song is about wanting to give up,"I try to face the fight within, but it's over." but knowing that there are people out there who need you "I'll carry you and we will live forever." Holding on for the the ones you love and trying to fight yourself (or unknown sources) everyday to be with them and protect them.
   
   It's also saying that even when 'he' doesn't win the fight 'he' will still try to protect you. And then suddenly "The sun begins to rise." It's saying that because "he" didn't give up that "he" won the fight even after it was over. "And I will never say goodbye." 'He' is saying that 'he' won't ever leave you now that 'he' knows that 'he' won the battle inside himself.

   My interpretation is that it is about somebody very dear to you that you have lost and in the beginning of the mourning period it is all gray skies and you cannot go on then as time goes on the skies clear and you find that you are able to go on and see them on the other side in due time. They were an angel in life and it is really hard to let somebody so great go

   I believe this song is a story of a mans heart and his fight to do the right thing but with so much pain and turmoil in this world it can effect you a little every minute everyday or a lot all at once, or both. He is talking about friendship, family, love and God when he says "I'll carry you, and we will live forever". Nothing more powerful in this world than to have somebody that cares about you. I have nobody minus my Mom and a couple so called friends. I'm ready for the RIOT to begin and surrender. This may be one of those songs that announces that there are actually Angels among us and sometimes they fall, and we need to stop living for ourselves just a little, if we are busy living for others maybe somebody will lives for you.

   To me it means, when someone who does everything for others but feels like they failed, they don’t give up or give in. When it seems like your not making a difference in someone’s life, you find out that you did make a difference.    If you notice the picture in the background inside the sun is a outline of a baby in a sonogram... I believe the meaning of the song is about a miscarriage.. Very sad especially since I've had 6 losses. But I have hope that one day I will have a child of my own.
