I am thoroughly convinced that this song is about Pete's brother, Joe, who is no longer in the band. "Last burned, well grab a pen, for the fourth and unknown" -Vena Sera was the 4th album- "hated work, but loved the scene" -Pete said that Joe was more of a tour partner than a band member and didn't contribute to the band.
