To me this song is about your first love and the relationship ending begore your ready for it. It shows the deep pain you feel that vilont anger with your self. and doing every thing in your power to just forget it all ie. burning your lovers clothes and the leters they wrote. your so sad that uits all you think about and everyone is sick of hearing about it. both the wrighter and the lover don't know what to do there for they're dancing around trying to figer out how to forget but no one knows how to find closer so no one takes the lead. It is very well writen and I think we've all been there hear he expresses the hoplessness few can.
