    I love depeche mode. And this song says to me any one who goes around and says blasphemous rumors or gossips about people.or anyone who trys to make the world ugly.or to try and shame someone for something they did not do. This song speaks to me.

    Life isn't fair.some things are in are control and a lot of it is not. that is why life sucks nobody can say otherwise.not saying it can't be happy.it can be anything,but how much control do we really have? That is what this songs about.the shit that gets thrown at us,the inevitable,Life!
