Doing It For The Money Lyrics

The album is called Sacred Heart Club which is a Christian reference. The lyrics could be about standing up for what you believe. Call the the poet and Prophets to step up to the dark forces in the world. This song reminds me of the book of Jude. The song's mention of dreams could be a reference from the book of Jude. I believe this song is about doing drugs and tripping on acid, and getting the idea that you want to be famous. “We’re gonna run this light” is a line that I assume is about outrunning a light’s light (what I mean is that he’s trying to run across the room before the light from the light gets to the end of the room), and to run a light you need to be fast, and a normal human would doubt an attempt to run a light. Now, the drugs are still in his head, and he now has an idea to become famous AND do it for the money.
