I think the song is about a once love about a girl who used to have a perfect relationship with someone until they’re relationship lost meaning, she still has a picture of the guy who he used to be in her mind, stuck. She can’t move on thinking about the memories and is clinged onto him. She wants him to feel the same again, she believes he still loves her deep inside, and she would willingly do anything to have him back.

This song means a lot to me and although this might not be what the writer meant but to me it reminds me of how I feel about someone. I’m gay and I’m still mostly closeted, my family doesn’t know but I have feelings for a girl and I like her a lot and the lyrics “I’m not afraid anymore” is like me not being afraid of what people think anymore because I like the girl so much I’d be willing to overcome that fear to be with her forever.

I have a mother, she and i had a close relationship. But her new boyfriend interfered and i got depressed. I lost hope and we kind of have a dying relationship even though i still love her.

3)(almost the same as the 2nd one) could be about a couple wanting to spend their time together but he/she lost the spark in the relationship, meanwhile the other person still loves them dearly and ever since then they never stopped loving them even if they are probably never gonna get back together
P.S-the 3rd one happened to me. I loved a guy so deeply and also the guy, so we went out for a while but we had obstacles in our path. so he then lost interest in me and cut the relationship between us off. even though i know he doesnt love me the way i love him still...i can never stop thinking about him...so whenever i listened to this song and think about him...i would always tear up because that's what i wanted us to be like, but it never couldve happened (also it was a long distance relationship) -

In my opinion it's the story about two persons who both experience their first love. Fokused is the story on the girl who seems to have fears and problems but gets to know how her life and her thoughts about the future changed just because of a boy she happened to fall in love with. Because of him she decides to make the best out of her life and to spent it with her beloved one. She seems to have found her reason for living and enjoying her time with her first love. She gets to know the feeling of wanting to create a future with someone she holds dear and to overcome her fears of solitude.
