I think this song at least in part is about how verbal communication doesn't convey full intentions or feelings and the writer is fantasizing about a world where he can pantomime or gesture instead to convey his feelings with everyone else and he thinks it would be a more romantic place like seeing the world by candlelight.and how he wishes all he had to do was move his hands for everyone to see exactly what he means.Basically that everyone's true feelings were evident instead of being able to hide behind words
