    In my opinion, the song is showing to sides to the same coin-childhood, most likely is high school. The chorus is talking about the good parts that make you miss those days. The other parts do talk about some good things, but they talk about the bad parts of those days and also about the bad side of having good old days, like living in the past instead of the present.
