I think it's about like he's telling his son how life can throw you of balance with both sad and happy events but you should never look back and enjoy life to the fullest, like how he's saying 'life can do terrible things,' and then he explains how he's the happiest man ever to find a woman like her. this song is truly inspirational. and it just shows you should never regret like, or even regret being here because sooner or later something amazing will happen. i think this song would be perfect for anyone who cuts (self harms) it would truly show them what life is all about and that it's not all about the bad things. thanks - anonymous. :]
