Will You Be There Lyrics
(Piano intro)
Hold me
Like the River Jordan
And I will then say to thee
You are my friend
Carry me
Like you are my brother
Love me like a mother
Will you be there?
When weary
Tell me will you hold me
When wrong,...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about God, he’s asking him for help and if he’ll be there and stay with him during the tough times he was going through in that period of his life, also how everyone in the world was against him, he’s asking God to save him. And he mentions River Jordan in the beginning of the song, and says things like carry me, lead me, show and I will be there kinda like he wants a spiritual rebirth or he feels like this is a turning point in his life where he’s asking for freedom.

#2 top rated interpretation:I believe Michael Jackson was simply and purely asking for support during his child molestation charges for which he pleaded innocent and was eventually cleared. Period .
Obviously, you could go and take each refrain and explain the beautiful rhymes and caring meanings, but in the end he was crying out for support. In other words, "you've loved me and stuck by me this long, please don't abandon me now when I need you the most."... and more importantly… "Will you love me for the person I am and not the personality?"
( never mind the fact that the music industry was pulling him in every direction and demanding so much of him, he could barely keep up. They treated him like an ATM and not a human being )
- " everyone trying to take control of me… seems that the world has a role for me… "
( I didn't abandon him. I've always loved MJ for the "giving" part of him… The shy man, but explosive performer was also human and bled just like the rest of us. I don't think I could ever find myself "Wigging out" and passing out like people did just upon the sight of him… That's ridiculous. That's idolization. The only person I idolize is God. But, I respected, was thankful for his gift to humanity and I loved him like a brother. ) ;)
Love the person. Hate the sin. ( we all sin… But, we all need to be loved ) -

#3 top rated interpretation:This song is such an amazing song I'm a fan of mj since little and he has inspired me and continue to inspire me with his positive love to humans. This song shows us that no matter what problem we face someone will be there in regards to ur sorrow. And yes mj I will be there for u always and forever.

I might be wrong but I think he could be talking about real loyal friendship and also how we should be there for others unconditionally and care about one another.

giving him and his family are jahova witnesses ; i think the song is about his faith in jahova. he’s aware of his sins and is asking jahova for help and forgiveness. and he has him in his heart always.

Will You Be There is a beautifully performed song by MJ. According to information online it was recorded in 1990-1991 and released in 1993. He wrote the song before the Jordan Chandler dads allegations, and he said he wrote it in his giving tree. I do feel when he performs it live during the false accusations his voice inflections and by 1993 show he was feeling distressed. The Chandler allegations were all but proven false in the book by his legal secretary showing how Evan Chandler was using his son Jordie as a tool to try and extort money from MJ. The tabloids and Diane Dimond and her friend Tom Sneddon were more than willing to profit from lies off of MJ. It was hard to watch. MJ was Innocent he settled the case like many others do to keep it from going on for 10 years and affecting his career. It was a mistake to do, because the tabloids never let it die, especially Diane Dimond. Racism no doubt played a factor in the spreading of the lies. Rest In Peace MJ. You are Loved All Over The World.

This song is a very touching one,it protrays that MJ saw his downfal in the sight of God,he was trying to cry 4 help from God
-
He was seeking help from the cia, I think they didnt helped him.

I think it is about a person who is,askibg will the person they care about the most be there in times of trouble as Mary was in facing Jesus death....part of Jesus, was man while he dwelled on earth. MAN can feel.pressured by the world to be a certain way so it puts him between a hard rock and a stone. Thats why he repeats im only human

I believe this song is about god. Maybe he had lost his faith and asking God to be there

I think this song was a cry for help. I think that he needed help out of the drug addiction he had and the charges that he held. I also think that he felt trapped in is addiction and he was asking for help. I feel like people we fascinated with the song that they really didn't think about the actual SONG. He felt like his life was laid out for him and like he didn't have a choice. he also felt like people thought he was more than a human and expecting him to do supernatural things which he couldn't and felt the pressure which led to his drug addiction. he really just wanted someone there to help him and support him through his tough times.

I think this song is simply about God. he is trying to find the faith he needs to find God.

This really is a beautiful song. It's amazing that he was able to produce so many songs with positive meanings considering all the difficulties he faced during his career and his childhood. In some ways, I wonder if his zeal to express love for children was his own way of trying to ensure that others didn't have to suffer the way he did as a child. (I'm not a psychologist or anything, it's just a guess)
I feel like as the "smoke" clears, it's much easier to see that regardless of whatever happened in his personal life (I'd rather be optimistic and hope that rumors were not true...), Michael tried his best to be a positive role model.
