Those Nights Lyrics

I remember when
We used to laugh
About nothing at all
It was better than going mad
From trying to solve all the problems we're going through
Forget 'em all
Cause on those nights we would stand and never fall
Together we faced it...

I think that a songs meaning just depends on what the person listening to that song happens, it just makes whatever song that was even more special because they can relate to that song.

I think this song is about a man reminiscing about his teenage years with a friend (to me it sounds like a female friend) and he'd always go hangout with her because his family life was rough/abusive...to the point he wanted to die and if it wasn't for her he would have and now that he's older times are still tough for him and he wished he still had her. I'm assuming he lost her to:
    A) another man...
    B)death...
C)they fell away due to adult hood...
That's what it means to me due to events in my life.

This song is about Johns relationship with his friend like how he didnt know how he was gonna survive through the weekend without going to his friends house.

This song always makes me think of my relationship with my best friend. Those times where you would hang out with friends and you could sit in the dark and just talk forever and ever. where you'd go on drives for nothing. Then you grow older and a lot of the times those friends slowly fade away to find new friends... that's what I thought about when I heard this song. Yupp.

I think it means the relationship between a man and a woman and they r always fighting and he "doesn't want to go home to another fight" he just wants the good times to last bc he said "I remember when we used to laugh about nothing at all and now I wish those times would last". I could be wrong but that's just my interpretation.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

i think it about best friends cause
"trying to solve all the problems we're going through" and "Didn't want to go home to another fight"

i think this song can be interpreted as a man reminiscing about the nights he spent in his lovers embrace and looking back at thier memories together... he talks about how strong their relationship was..
"cause on those night we would stand and never fall"

i think its about wanting to go back to their happiness
"And now i wish those nights would last"

I mean "In the way that he died for us that reminds us he is a amazing friend but this song is one about a human friend others are about God :)

I beleive Jesus died for us totatly, this song isnt really a reminder of that...He is a close friend and reminds us in that way that he died for us ..Some of their other songs do..But it is good either way.

Yes that is very true...but the lyrics in this song..dont really have to do with that whole thing..sometimes they do write songs about human relations...

I'm guessing that God want us to put all our pain away, put it in a jar and then pour ot out, because Jesus died in the cross and resurrected from the death for u!
