I caught the moon today
Pick it up
And throw it away all right
I got the perfect steal
A cleaner love
With a dirty feel all right
Fallout and take the bait
Eat the fruit
And kiss the snake goodnight

Common ruse dirty face
Pretty...

I real think this song is about Christianity and when he taught the moon today and threw it away he was saying that he caught the ruse the Moon-day came after Sunday when he says I got a perfect steal a cleaner love with a drity feel then fallout take the bait he's saying do what you want then kiss the snake good night say the devil is only only you and others but not snake or a goat or a owl next line common ruse common lie or fib your darkened white lie afterdark for be the light before the night for all to see all right noon-sense woodend stake or cross mounted or hung and i dont like what you got me hanging from say-ten God-evil Go-devil ! good missing an o is not so bad? Braking bad & fixing evil pretty noose pretty pain

I have listened to this song a lot, and it is kinda self-explanatory. "I caught the moon today
    Pick it up
And throw it away all right
    I got the perfect steal
    A cleaner love
With a dirty feel all right"

he got a wedding ring as "bright as the moon" "threw it all away" - speaking about marriage. "I got the prefect steal" he got the perfect woman for him.

With a dirty feel all right
    Fallout and take the bait
    Eat the fruit
And kiss the snake goodnight...this is what is ironic about the song.."fallout and take the bait, eat the fruit and kiss the snake goodnight" adam and eve were he gave into temptation and ate the forbidden fruit. This part is saying how he gave into her and she is the snake that seduced eve into eating the fruit, and she is the "snake" that seduced him into marriage.

"I don’t care what you got
I don’t care what you need
    I don’t want anything
    And I don’t like what
You got me hanging from"....he is saying he doesn't care what you can offer him because he is sick and tired of being "caught in a noose" in this marriage. He is basically saying through the whole song, he found what he thought was the perfect girl for him and he jumped into the relationship so quick and only to later find out that he can't stand being tied down and being told what to do and when to do it..."marriage" lol..its a GREAT song! I love it how he's just pretty much says...marriage sucks..lol..make sure you find the right girl and make sure you can LIVE with her...lol...great song
