The Way I Loved You Lyrics

He is sensible and so incredible
And all my single friends are jealous
He says everything I need to hear
And it's like I couldn't ask for anything better

He opens up my door and I get into his car
And he says, "You look beautiful...

    I think The Way I Loved You is an original song describing the conflicting feelings of loving someone who's completely wrong for you, and trying to reach perfection with someone else.... but when you got it, you realize you miss the wild one who makes your life difficult but so damn beautiful and exciting, a "roller coaster kinda rush". In the song, Taylor starts talking about the perfect boyfriend: he opens up the door for her, talks business with her father,says she's beautiful and makes all her single friends jealous, and she feels okay: the rhythm is scanned and the music is "tidy". But as soon as the chorus starts, music becomes overwhelming and Taylor starts remembering her ex-boyfriend, who's complicated, bad-tempered but terribly exciting and awesome.

    I think that this song is about a girl, (Taylor Swift) who has the perfect boyfriend. The one who tells her she is beautiful, who calls when he says he will, makes an effort to make her parents like him, and understands her. But, their relationship has been up and down ("But I've been screaming and fighting") ("Rollercoaster kind of rush"). He drives her crazy but she loves him.("So in love that you act insane")(And you were wild and crazy/ Just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicating/) But in the end, she loves him very much.

    This is like;

    The perfect guy - Nate(kinda)
    The wild guy- Chuck f'in Bass
    The girl - Blair Waldorf

    If you watched gossip girl you know what i mean. I mean i know Nate did mistakes blah blah but it kinda suits them

    Basically it's about a girl who's dating a guy that is a perfect gentleman, endearing, thr guy that everyone loves, the guy that every girl wants and everything. But she doesn't feel anything about this guy, she's not in love with him. And she misses the guy that she used to date. The guy that she used to date was wild, crazy, frustrating, complicated and everything but perfect. She misses the way he made her feel.

    I think the song story is:
    "There was this girl who had dated a guy completely 'wild and crazy just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated' and they eventually split up.
    Now she is dating a guy who is 'sensible and so incredible that all her single friends are jealous. He is charming and endearing and she is comfortable. He respects her space and never makes her wait and he calls exactly when he says he will. He is close to her mother and talks business with her father. He says everything she needs to hear and its like she couldn't ask for anything better. He opens his car door for her and she gets into his car and he says that she looks beautiful tonight and she feels perfectly fine.
    But she misses screaming and fighting with her former, and kissing in the rain and cursing his name at 2am and they are so in love that they act insane and that's the way she loved her life and her ex-boyfriend. Breaking' down and coming undone she feels that it's a roller coaster kinda rush
    And she never knew she could feel that much. And thats the way she loved her ex.
    In short: She has a perfect life with her present 'perfect' boyfriend but its just all too perfect for her and she misses all the fun she had with her former bf...the adventure and passion and all that made her complete and feel alive. ('He' is the current boyfriend and 'you' is the former boyfriend.)
    P.S. If you watch Vampire Diaries then you can simply say the girl is Elena. 'he' is Stefan and 'you' is Damon. Just not the break-up thing...
    Hope I helped...

    I feel bad for the nice guy... It sounds like he didn't deserve to get dumped.

    I think this song is about having a boyfriend that is perfect and does everything he is supposed to do. But there's no spark . And she misses the spark will her ex who drove her but that's the way she loved him.

    Basically, she loved one guy but it was more of an arguing relationship than a (what i call) "lovey-dovey" relationship. so she breaks up with him and finds a perfect gentleman. but she sees that life is just too perfect for her and she doesn't feel anything with him. So she finally realises she loved the guy she was arguing with.

    I think it's about a girl who has the idealistic boyfriend but she is falling out of love with him. She misses the passion and excitement that they once had.
    'And you were wild and crazy,
    Just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated, got away, was so mistaken and now;
    I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain and it's 2 a.m. and I'm cursing your name.'

    The other interpretations sum itup. This song reminds me ofwhen I was in 8th and 9th grade. I'd gone through a lot ofstuff at home and Ifeltlike I neededa friend who would just listen and support me. I did meet those kinds of friends. Butwhat really got me was the one girl who treated me like crap. No matter what she said or did to me,I always hung around her. She would make fun of me and it hurt at times. Ieventually got fed up and started hanging out with people who respected me but I missed the 'roller coasterkinda rush' I feltaroundher. Everyone esle just seemed dull.

    This song is about two different relationships with two completly different boys, one who is a perfect gentleman, and one who was complicated, hard to understand, etc.
    Taylor dated the complicated guy, and their relationship was up and down but they still loved each other alot. Then, they broke up and she dated the perfect guy, but the "sparks" just weren't there. Us girls all know that there's this one guy in our life that are sooo complicated, but you still love him to death, he's the 'one'. So when she dated the perfect guy, she tried to fall in love with him, but in her mind she kept wanting the exciting relationship with the other boy.

    The only message I'm getting from this song is that girls love you more if you treat them like crap.

    I think the song is about a girl who is dating a guy who is the epitome of the perfect boyfriend. He is sweet, caring and everything else she says but before she dated a guy who she had a crazy relationship with. Her relationship with her former boyfriend was a rollercoaster ride but her relationship with her current boyfriend is boring. Her ex made her feel alive but with her current boyfriend it isn't like that and she misses the crazyness

    It's about a girl who has this boyfriend who's brilliant. They have a great relationship however this relationship has lost its spark

    Or it's about this girl that is in a relationship with a guy and when it's good, it's perfect however when its bad its really bad (it's a roller coaster kind of rush).
