Boy in the Bubble Lyrics
Stepped to the gate and I’m all alone
I had chicken on the plate but the food was cold
Then I covered up my face so that no one knows
I didn’t want trouble
I’m the boy in the bubble
But then came trouble
When...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think that this could be interpreted differently but at it's core, 'boy in the bubble' is about a kid who is getting bullied and feels alone hence the line'I'm the boy in the bubble'. The bullied kid understands why his bully does what he does. The bully has a troubled home life and has to deal with an alcoholic abusive father and takes this out on the kid. The kid is in his own bubble and is trying to stay out of trouble but the bully keeps on trying to pop it. This is just my interpretation. Everyone can interpret it differently.

#2 top rated interpretation:The boy in the bubble, the boy getting bullied, clearly feels alone in some way, given the bubble. And rather than fighting back, he simply let the bully beat him. He says that the he doesn't fight back to give the bully the satisfaction. Then there's the part in which perspective is reversed. The bully is dealing with his drunk and abusive father. It shows that the boy in the bubble is trying be empathetic. In a way, the boy who is the bully and the boy who was the victim really aren't that different. I mean, different situation sure, but how their situations are making them feel really isn't that different. The bully probably feels alone with his situation. The way I personally would interpret it, is that the boy who is being bullied doesn't want to give the bully the satisfaction by fighting back, and yet at the same time, he is being empathetic for the bully. He says in the song, "Well there's no excuse for the things he did, but there's a lot at home he's dealing with because his was drunk since he was a kid. And I hope one he'll say to him, 'put down those bubbles, and that belt buckle, in this broken bubble." This shows the boy in the bubble understands. Or at least is trying to.

#3 top rated interpretation:This song is very deep with meaning to me, and it’s like Alec Benjamin was the boy in the bubble that is trying to be closed and protected in the bubble, and a bully is trying to pop it, but Alec understands what the bully is dealing with.

My interpretation is that the one getting bullied is understanding of the bullies reasons. At one point of the song it does Go into the bullies perspective, which in that verse indicates the bullies has an abusive and alcoholic father.
The bullie, bullies that kid to let out his stress -
An isolated or “in a bubble” boy is recently targeted by a bully. As well as fighting back, the boy empathises with the bully for the abuse he goes through at home.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I think it means that a kid was getting bullied and he forgave the person because he understood the why the bully was bulling
-
A good song saying DON'T BEAT UP KIDS and how he accepted the bullying and understood the kids problem
-
My interpretation is that this song kinda represents me because I have a lot going on at home but I take it out on kids at school and it gives me a satisfaction but not them. I'am the one to suffer because YOU know that you did something wrong. If the bully is going through a lot at home all you can do is be nice to them instead of giving them another reason to get in trouble at home.

This song clearly means that a boy got into a fight and he could understand the bullies point of view, his father was a heavy drinker so the bully had a lot to deal with at home. But I think the main point of this song is (1) Think beyond the situation like the dad heavily drinking, (2) and Don't bully, and if your getting bullied..... Don't fight back, maybe try to defuse the situation.
