    When he says "pull your knife out of my back, your blood runs black" it seems that he made a promise to himself and when he broke it he made a mistake and stabbed himself in the back like a fake friend did but it hurt more because it was himself.

    what i think this song is about Alec Benjamin who had a best friend that he trusted the most he told she secrets that been told to people,it turned out she was a fake friend but now there enemies. he thought that they where friends but now there enemies, he was just surprised how he or she turned on him, he trusted her held her close but his blood felt like a river when he trusted her them most but now he knows that everything that happened between them is now over.
