   The song is written by Mark Tremonti and it talks about the death of his mother. In an interview with him he said, "There are a lot of themes on this record that are very personal, for example 'In Loving Memory' is about my mother who recently passed away.    This is my fav song of alter bridge because the lyrics is so emotional and deep. It's about losing a loved one and carrying on with life. With each and everything you do reminding you of the times you had with him or her and how somehow their memories live on in your heart.
