Looking back I clearly see
What it is that's killing me
Through the eyes of one I know
I see a vision once let go
I had it all

Constantly it burdens me
Hard to trust and can't believe

This is my favorite song from Alter Bridge for the reason of not only a very up beat song but the message it entails. Look at some of the lyrics "Will they open their eyes
    And realize we are one
On and on we stand alone
    Until our day has come
    When they open their eyes
And realize we are one." The song pretty much has one basic meaning, it's the fact that we need to actually open our eyes and realize that we are all human. No matter what race or gender; if we the people of this world want to stop the violence, racism, and hatred in the world we must stand together as one united people under the one true God.

It means that you're never alone and that someone is always with you.
