Jesus Take the Wheel Lyrics
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Goin' home to see her Momma and her Daddy
With her baby in the back seat
Fifty miles to go and she was runnin' low
On faith and gasoline
It'd been a long...

This song means a lot to me. This song is about a young girl that has had a kid at a young age. She has done so much wrong in her life that it takes something tragical to make her wake up and relize that she needs God in her life. She is tired of running from God so shes just going give it up and let "jesus take the wheel" of her life.

I guess it's about a girl who was driving one night to her parents' home on Christmas night with her baby. Then she began thinking about all the wrong things she had done in the past, and gets lost in them. The wheel goes out of control and the car then nearly escapes having an accident. That's when she truly realises that she should start all over again, starting with a firm belief in God.

I happen to have a very different view of the song. I thing the whole crash thing is literal. Maybe its the story of someone she met or knew/knows.
I think this is the story of a woman who has had a very hard year at work and struggling to take care of all she has, and she has a lot on her mind. In fact, since all this stuff in her mind causes her to lose focus on christmas, and as the car starts to skid on the road, she just prays to god or jesus that everything will be ok, and it does. This whole incident opens her eyes to how much she has neglected god and her religion. As a result of this incident, she becomes more faithful and religious. Hope you like! :)

When it says both her lives flashed before her eyes, I immediately think that she was cheating on someone and was distracted by what had been going on so she crashed her car and thought about what she had done wrong and she prayed to Jesus to keep her and her baby safe for both their sakes.
Each time I am playing this track, I leave it on autoplay.
I love this song, it brings me to the realization that I am failing in my life's journey because I am dragging the wheels with the master of the ultimate reality of life: Jesus.
It keeps me on a constant checks of trying to live a borrowed life without the lender's instructional manual. Yes, my life is a borrowed one, I own NP life, the only one I have is Christ's, so I have to sirender the wheels of the to him so I can live it safely.
Carrie Underwood, is a good philosophical preacher of the power of surrendering.

I think that it is about a lady that had a baby and she has done some bad things. Then, she is going to see her mom and dad on christmas eve.she gets caught up in all of that stuff and loses control of the car and the baby in the back seat is asleep when all of this is happening then she prays to god and asks him to forgive her.:)

I think Jesus take the wheel is about girl having a hard time so she goes to see her parents for Christmas Eve while she is driving she gets distracted by her emotions and the wheel spins out of control she gets in a car crash her baby is fine and asleep but it is too much for the mom to handle so she PRAYS TO JESUS to not only take the wheel to the vehicle
But to her heart and life!

This song is about a girl, having a baby in a young age, and she had so much problems throughout the years.. It was a Christmas Eve when she goes to her mom and dad's place and she gets lost in her mind with all her problems like getting raped for a young age and having a baby and more, then suddenly the car lost it's control and crashed. While she was lying down, bloody in her crashed car, she saw her baby dead and also bloody, and she cried. She then knew and realized that she should start a new life with Jesus and asks Jesus to take care of her.

This song is about a lady going home for Christmas with her baby in the back seat. Her parents do not agree with her for having a baby with out being married. She starts to get into an accident and she just gives up and she ask Jesus to take over. If it is His will that she and her baby lives then so be it but she puts her life and the life of her baby in to the hands of Jesus.
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
