Showdown Lyrics

She cried to the Southern wind
About a love that was sure to end
Every dream in her heart was gone
Heading for a showdown.
Bad dreamer, what's your name?
Looks like we're riding on the same train
Looks as though there'll be more...

This is a song about America and the She and the "southern wind" she blew in on is the Statue of Liberty, which faces south towards those entering the harbor. Something happened in America and a stranger is causing the "real suffering".
