A sublimely beautiful song where John Lennon is reviewing something in his past he feels deeply sorry about. He, with honesty, humility and grace is expressing his deep regret and sorrow .. in his own way pleading for understanding and forgiveness. This song, more than many of John's songs, is a glimpse into his incredible inner beauty .. a song such as this cannot come from a person who is not incredibly beautiful inside.
