OneRepublic: Say (All I Need) Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Say (All I Need) Lyrics
Do you think you can find it?
Or did you trade it for something
Somewhere better just to have it?
Do you know where your love is?
Do you think that you lost it?
You felt it so strong, but
Nothing's turned out how...

Well for me I feel like this song can be pretty much about chasing anything. As we people are never content and satisfied and we always think the next best thing will do it for us, which is a lie.
-
My guess is that the song is mainly about how he (the singer) feels like love isn't really that important at times In life. He says, "all I need is the air I breathe and a place to rest my head" not saying that all he needs is love or anything. And when he says things like 'do you know where your heart is' he's talking to us, the listeners of the song so we can realize that we may be blinded by love. To realize that maybe love can just be a trick upon yourself and love isn't needed in life. Love is a want not a NEED.
-
to me, when i hear this song i think it is just about a person who wants to just live his life, doesn't feel the need to be drawn into the material world.
and sometimes, everyone just needs to take a step back from life and reconnect with themselves.
(love the song)
