I think this song is telling the story of Jesus dying and coming back from the grave. He "faked his own suicide". In the song, we are the girl he is trying to make realize she is in love with him.
The letter that we will keep is the Bible.
The church is God's bride, so that makes us his wife and when we proclaim our love for Christ he will "come back to life".
Which is why "you will never leave my sight".

I think this song is about a guy who fakes his own suicide to show a girl that she loved him all along but just never realized it. And when he's dead she realizes it but it seems like it's too late. And that's when he returns and shows her that he's still alive and their gonna be in love forever.... So sweet ;)
