   The song “Why” really reminds me of two people who clearly have romantic feelings for each other but are so stubborn or proud to admit their feelings. “So many nights trying to find someone new” clearly tells us that they’re trying to find distractions from each other, but it’s hopeless because they appear to be that in love with each other.
   
   Shawn describes his muse as a “curse” this means she’s something he can’t get rid of, so he can’t remove the feelings he has for her. “Why can’t we just get over ourselves” could be shown as their personalities clashing, they’re so similar and stubborn they can’t give up the game they play with each other on who will break first. This is someone longing for the relationship from whoever “Why” is inspired by but can’t seem to give himself up to her.

   This song I would say is about two people who love eachother and want eachother. But are too proud or scared to show the other first. It’s hard to tell someone you like them especially when you don’t know if they like you back. “No one will break first” means that they won’t give in to their feelings but they keep going back to them no matter how hard they try
