The Fray: Look After You Meaning
Song Released: 2007
Look After You Lyrics
As I'm leaving the one I want to take
Forgive the urgency but hurry up and wait
My heart has started to separate
Oh, oh,
Be my baby
Ohhhhh
Oh, oh
Be my baby
I'll look after you
There now,...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's quite obvious what it means: I'll look after you, be my baby etc. Look After You is about a guy who's trying to tell a girl that he loves that he's right for her and that he'll look after her.

#2 top rated interpretation:Isaac wrote this song about his wife(or his girlfriend at the time he wrote it). She was working in Australia, I think, and he felt really distant from her and basically just wanted her back with him. This song is about the his love for her and the longing of having her back.

I know that everyone agrees it's a love song and a song for people apart from each other. But I want to throw my hat in and also explain why I feel this song about loving someone even if they are dying.
The tone feels warm but also melancholy because he's singing about someone that might be in bad health or may very well not have a long life expetancy, yet they don't care and feel connected to them so much that they will give their life to look after and care for them in sickness and in health. -
basically meaning that they are a long distance from each other and he wants to be with his love. to hurry up and get to that one special person because he misses his love with each passing day they are apart from one another

It's About Issac's Wife He Wrote This Either Before Or After He Proposed To Her <3 Hince The Part Were He Say's ''Will You Won't You Be The One I Always Know'' Thats Basically The Part Were He's Proposing To Her (: And Then The ''Be My Baby I'll Look After You'' In Which He's Bascially Saying That If She Said Yes (Which She Did) That He Would Take Care Of Her Look After, Her Take Care Of Her, Love Her For As Long As There Togther.
