Float Lyrics
Imagine leaving all your air behind
What matters in the end
A matter of opinion 'til you find out
Life can only mean hardly anything
All I'll ever be is partly settled in
To show you how to swim, then they throw you...
-
I interpreted “Float” as a person that been told what to do all their life and one day throw in the wild world by themselves. They showed you what to do so they think that you”ll know what to do but you don’t. It’s like you were supposed to float but you can because life is overwhelming you and everything is falling apart. It’s like your life is destroyed and you have no were to look further or you don’t know where to ask for help so you end up drowning in your problems, but they told you everything would be fine. It’s the same as society telling us what to do and expects us to float but we end up a)floating away b)drowning. This is how i interpreted “Float by the neighbourhood”

that after a while you get so tired of feeling this way about life, about yourself and everything. and you’ve been thrown in the deep end to fend for yourself when you have no idea what to do. your confused, depressed maybe so you decide to let go..
-
Life can only have a meaning if you construct your own meaning and if in that process you let yourself go with the flow of events. It doesn't matter what life teaches you, you always end up being unprepared for what lies in front of you. The solution for that fact is, as I said, let yourself go
-
Go with the flow.
