   I think amnesia is about a girl the boy dated and that she had to move to a different city and she found a new guy and she stop talking to him and he asked her friends if they still talk and they do and asked how she is doing but they say she is doing fine and he wish he wake up with amnesia (amnesia is not her name talking about the disease)this is just my interpretation ik this isn't about the 5sos boys they didn't even write this song I hope this help

   I Believe her family moved and she sentered him pictures and they wrote each other but she found someone else and is happy and moved on but he's still devestastated and mad that she didn't even try, and he wonders if she still reads his texts, he's depressed and thinks of suiside he waits for her to respond to his texts and letters and his friends ask why he never comes out of his room.

   Most people think this song is about suicide, but when he asks her friends how she's doing, they say she's doing fine("And even though your friends tell me you're doing fine, are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you"), so she's most likely not dead. Also, I'm an optimist and I like to think that their relationship didn't have such a devastating end. I think she had to move far away and met someone new where she lived, so she ended the long distance relationship thing in favor of this new guy("When he says those words that hurt you do you read the ones I wrote you"). I also think that she's not totally over the "singer" yet, either. And he's definitely not over her. He sees her everywhere he goes. He doesn't want to remember all the little things he loved about her.
   
   [Also, her name might be Amnesia. At one of 5sos' live concerts they said the song was about a girl called Amnesia or something along those lines...]

   Their girlfriend keeps telling them that she is fine, but he knows that something is wrong.
   "When he says those words that hurt you do you read the ones I wrote you?"
   When the demons in her mind tell her that shes not good enough, do you remember the way that i feel about you?
   "I remember the day you told me you were leaving
   I remember the make-up running down your face"
   He was probably the one that found you when you commited suicide, he remember when you told him you were leaving.
   "And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them
   Like every single wish we ever made"
   You and him made plands for your future, and now he is left here all alone

   this song is so sad its about suicide and i cry every time i hear it cause i used to think bout it but i realized who would miss me its very little people but why let a few people kill your happiness when i got in high school i met my three best friends, who knew we would become best friends now i'm still depressed but being with my friends help a little just hearing them say they love me and would miss me if i moved or went away they would break.

   he wants to forget everything that happened between them so he doesn't hurt anymore because he still loves her but she doesn't love him anymore so he wishes that he could "wake up with amnesia" and that he could forget all the things that happened and move on. everything that had happened between them was all a lie that is why he wants amnesia to "forget about the stupid little things"

   All the other interpretations miss one thing. The girl's name is actually Amnesia. Considering that he says in the song that he wishes to wake up with Amnesia, this makes sense as his girlfriend is named Amnesia.

    i think its about someone close to him committed suicide and now he wishes she was here with him.
    "I remember the day you told me you were leaving

    And the memories I never can escape!" its telling she wanted him to stop her desicions and help her. Now he regrets not stopping her!

    My friend and I interpreted it as them having lost someone to suicide. We both have gone through a lot of things, and we felt that those lyrics applied well in that sense. Just it being about missing them and wishing it was a nightmare and breaking because of it

    My interpretation is that the girl they sing about found out she was dying and once she did they tortured them selves by going to places they hung out and looking at pictures and reliving memories. And when they here her name they realize that this is a real thing that happened and they can't escape it. The entire song is about realizing he could have done more to make her life pleasurable yet he didn't and now he regrets every second

    It seems to me that one of the boys from the Punk Rock band also known as "5SOS or 5 Seconds Of Summer" has recently felt the pain of being brokenhearted. The feelings in the song makes me so emotional, Not just because they're my boys, because I can relate to this song.The feeling of being heartbroken isn't as lovely as you think it is. The meaning behind this song is that they both truly loved each other, and that they knew they wouldn't work out, so she left him. Even though she didn't want to. When he says "Cause I'm really not fine all at" means that he says he'll get over it, but in reality, he won't. He so hungover from his recent girlfriend that he won't ever forget the memories that he had with her. Because in all reality, He wants her back. But he knows it won't work again.

    My girlfriend broke up with me recently... and I realized as I heard someone playing this song at the library that I had heard it 2 days before she dumped me. But it's like he felt used, like she rebounded off of him for someone else she wasn't completely over. And as he tortures himself over and over by remembering the past and visiting places she used to go he makes it feel like he didn't do enough, but wants it to all seem like a dream. One phrase that comes to mind is how we don't appreciate what we have until we have lost it.
