Asking Alexandria: Dear Insanity Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Dear Insanity Lyrics
You take my hand and walk me out into the dark
We walk this road for hours and hours
To the white hills and the oceans
On a collision course to hell we march
We're doomed to this now
Oh the irony
If I'm going down I...

Was ike to be a part of AA and changing so much. Knowing what there doing but not caring.. its a living in the moment kind of thing. Especially sense the band was going off of drugs and alcohol for 2years straight -
I believe this album is a continuation of the previous album, and is a result of a storyline from the first album. In the first album, he lost a girl so dear to him. So, at the end, he turned to a life of partying to cope. And because of all this he has all this anger and frustration and hes just insane. A girl finds him and she wants him, and he wants her, but hes afraid of who hes become, and doesn't want to let her get to close, hence the song "breathless". Really, i interpret it all as the story of a man who had his heart torn from him, so hes become reckless and relentless.

I believe this is about how the character is crazy and he is inside his mind so much. He just can't get out because things are beautiful inside his mind. "To the white hills and the oceans." Everything is so hard in the real world he's just trying to find peace. "I search for solace in this toxic land of sin." And, "hold yourbreath my dear" because anyone who he gets close to needs to brace themselves for someone so hurt and psychotic. He's become so far gone that he's just, "the shell of a man with a heart so black and cold."
Well...thats at least what I got from it...
ON a larger scale we become so caught up in the little details of our lives that we're afraid to move forward. IT drives a bit crazy as we fall deeper into our minds hoping to come out some day and everything will be fine.
