Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel) Lyrics

Oh my God.
Oh my God.
If only he knew,
If only he knew,
If only he knew about the world without the bullshit and the lies,
We could have saved him.
They could have saved me.
But instead I'm here drowning in my own fucking mind,...

This song is about a friend committing suicide and the depression he was facing because of it. He wishes his friend could have had a better life and that he knew about the world "without the bullshit and the lies" and he says he won't let this be the death of him.

I read somewhere that it's about the united states government's relationship to the people.

This song is about his friend commiting suicide. If you look (or listen) to the lyrics, the things that he says relate to suicide.

This song is about his friend commiting suicide. He is freaked out, he repeats"Oh my god!" throughout the song. He is saying that if his friend "knew about the world without the bullshit and the lies, we could have saved him". Hes "drowning in his own fucking mind" because he doesnt know what to do. He says this wont be the dath of him.

This song to me seems a lot like the story of The Catcher in the Rye. In the book the main character goes crazy and a lot of lines in this song sound like references to me.

It sounds like his girlfriend betraying or cheating on him. He finds out and gets pissed and decides to write the final chapter (episode) in their love story ending it all with a gun. And he could of made her commit suicide. I think. :)

p/s: I'm sorry if I've made many grammatical errors. Beg your pardon. Thanks. :)

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
