Asking Alexandria: Moving on Meaning
Moving on Lyrics
Traded in his misery for the lonely life of the road.
The years were cruel to him no,
He won't let them go.
Lays awake tryna' find the man inside to pack his bags and escape this world.
I've never...

#1 top rated interpretation:I personally think this song is talking about depression and the struggle to keep pushing yourself to stay on earth. When he says "I've never felt so torn up" he could be referring to the fact that he has never felt so miserable in his entire life. When he says "I don't want to do this anymore" it refers to him not wanting to live. He also says "I can't believe I let myself break down" which might be talking about letting the pain of this life getting to him.
-
I think its about a person who's struggles with self destruction in anything ever good in his life.Struggles with depression, addiction. He knows his worth when he's on a good path. He's hidden this self battle from the world for so long. But he's found himself again in that rut spiraling down for quite some time now.He just wants out! Out of his negative thoughts, out of addiction,If he keeps self loathing he knows he's gonna find the way out.But not the road he rather take.He screams,Cries, pleads, finally realizes the answer has been there all along. He has to feel the pain, then just do it! Just do what's right for him.He wants the people he's hurt along the way to know he's sorry for it all he felt the pain he's put on everyone. It kills him knowing . But he's ready to change. Quick interp. But that's what I got. Best apology is changed behavior. I love AA

I think it's about Danny leaving AA and he's sad because he doesn't want to leave.
-
I think it means that Danny is just not gonna be with AA anymore and he's getting tired of the music they make so he moves on and he wants to be with another type of band or wants to go solo
-
This song is definitely Danny's farewell. He talks about how he's torn between Asking Alexandria and We Are Harlot. He says he should've seen this coming meaning when he started WAH and he doesn't wanna do AA anymore, because he admittedly said that it isn't really his style of music, and he's moving on from AA.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

None of their songs have anything to do with the passing of Mitch Lucker because all the albums were released before he even died. It's talking about missing loved ones on the road and how being in a band can be hard because you miss people you care about and things of that nature. The ''moving on'' part is just accepting it or maybe in a way he's calling it quits in his mind to drown out his sorrow. I don't think it's specifically about a break up, because if you watch the music video, different members of the band hold up signs to represent them missing family and loved ones. Not every song is about breaking up with a girl, someone dying, etc.
-
i think the song is about his friendship with Mitch Lucker. at first he is talking about himself and then the second verse "He wanted to change the world, to make it all worthwhile.
So he put his pen to paper and poured out everything inside.
He's read the scene and unpacked the man the he'd became
Slowly but truly on the fast track to falling into his grave" because this album came out awhile after he died and when Danny heard the news he locked himself in a hotel room with tons of alcohol and didn't want to live anymore (you can look this up to) and maybe in his days on being in that hotel room he wrote this. -
I think this song is about Danny and his struggle with alcohol and drugs.
It's talking about how he started music and how he wants to move on from being 'torn up' and feeling hopeless.
