   It means that you have left a person and a few week/months later, you relize that you feel you aren't strong enough to handle them being gone. You wish they were back with you. For example: you moved and want to move on without the person you left behind but you relize you need that person and you want to see them next them to you.

   In my opinion it means you might have moved on and I'm trying too but I still give a shit about you. Even though we're not together anymore, but I still remember all the sweet things you said and did to me and I really miss it and wish that I could do anything to make it happen again.

   She mentions "Wish You Were Here" as lyrics in a couple more of her songs at least if you pay attention. This one finally made it as a title. Maybe she wants that person to here the message this time instead of it just being a common phrase within songs? Seems like someone she misses. I wish to solve this mystery some day.

    In my situation, this song is how two people meant for each other are lost in two separate worlds. I can't find him, and I, of course have hope, but it seems so unlikely that I would find him. The different verses summarize the memories and aspects of our relationship. The chorus, is what I think every single day. It's been a month, can I ever find him? I wish you were here Aaron.

    I think the song is about someone she loves and cares about a lot and wants to be with him. But he doesn't want her like that. Yet they do crazy things and he's sweet to her sometimes and she remembers everything he said to her. Now he's gone and she wishes that he was there with her and would be hers.

    I agree, I don't associate it with a breakup at all. It makes me think about a girl who really loves this guy she is in a relationship with but they don't get to see each other all the time and she just wants him to be with her. She can't get him out of her head.
