Doing it Wrong Lyrics
It's just the end of a world, that you had with one girl
And she's the reason it happened, but she's overreacting
And it's all because she don't want things to change
So cry if you...

Drake doesnt want to lead this female on any longer. He's finally come to the realizaion that he's not gonna continue leading her on because "its the wrong thing to do." So he'll continue to be there for her because he feels bad and cares for the female, but doesn't feel as strongly. He "needs something different" and is not as emotionally into this relationship like the female is.. He's finally realized what he's doing is the wrong thing to do.. Its time to move on. He can continue to be there for her as a friend, he'll be there when she's talking, he'll let her touch him but he's not gonna listen/care/get so emotionally involved. She can touch him but he doesnt want to hold her. He doesnt wanna show affection of love as if he's closed off... Because she actually loves him..

It's about a girl that her vagina is wet but drake don't want to eat it.

Drake and this girl care a lot abot each other, but its something missing in the relationship, and it doesn't feel right. But the girl loves drake and deep down she knows that he'll probably never love her the way she loves him . He's saying that he needs to move on , and so does she but he cares to much about her to see her in pain.

i think song talks about our generation not able to whole heartily love. these always something I'm trying to gain thus 'SOMETHING BEEN MISSING' is said a few times in the song. The love is missing in nowdays relationship

personally i see this song as two people who loved each other except it faded and they both began to fall out of love but they don’t want to accept the fact they don’t love each other anymore, they don’t want things to change. he can’t stay with her and act like everything okay when it’s not. He can’t say he loves her, he can’t hold her, he can’t touch her as it’s the wrong thing to do. both of these people know they need someone different but there scared to see each other with somebody else. - i think that is the meaning of this song.

I think it about this generation not really being able to really express our feelings that's talking of love with the person we love this might be because we are afraid the person might not feel the same and our feelings will end up being thrown back in our faces, because in the beginning of our relationships we believe everything is going to go well and when we fall out of love we can't keep putting ourselves in the position of being in love with the person anymore and yet because we still care we are going to be there to listen and yet not wanting to go far to the point where we have to lie about our feelings because we just don't want to be with you anymore and so we choose to not really get involved so as to not get hurt but we end up being hurt because when you don't express those feelings you just end up loosing the love of your life to someone else, so yo avoid this we choose not to go all in with the person we love and this hurts the other party going all in
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The song "doing it wrong" by drake, is about him and lil Wayne. Drake and Wayne have been friends for a while, and over time Wayne has caught feelings for Drake. However Drake doesn't feel the same way about Wayne, but still wants to be his friend. In the song Drake talks about a girl instead of a guy, or Wayne himself, because he doesn't want to humiliate his friend, and so that "today's generation" doesn't judge the two.

He loved her but she loves him. He needs something different a girl who's not emotionally in the relationship like her but he didn't want to hurt her so he stays. Until it's time to move on, he'll let her talk to him and touch him but he's not gonna stay because it's the wrong thing to do and he doesn't want to show any love/emotion to her. And all she wants is him and for things not to change..

At the part that says: we live in a generation of, not being in love, and not being together, but we sure make it feel like we're together, cause we're scared to see each other with somebody else; he means that they have lost all there love for one another, but they would hate to watch there ex fall in love with someone else!

Drake is dating this girl for a long time and they have fallen out of love, except she still loves drake, but drake doesnt love her back. Its like saying that there over each other but she still likes him. But drake hates seeing her with another person, and so does she..

This song meaning means....having so much trouble in a relationship one is wanting to move on and the other is hung up in the relationship..so its about moving on and getting past it..but you dont want to break their heart so you lie by saying you love them too.
anonymous Feb 25th, 2012 2:15pm report
She will say she love's him and hill end up lying and hill say I love too.

I think this song talks about 2 people who are in love with eachother HOWEVER its obvious that they will never be together.

this girl and Drake are in love but dont know where their relationship is heading at this point in time, so Drake goes looking for something different.. She loves him so much, but he doesnt want to break her heart by saying that he doesn't love her so he says 'i love you to' ...They both love each other but theres something missing that will make them complete. So it's hard for them to walk away because he wants to stay with her but he doesnt feels security in this relationship, so she fels hopeless because she wants him but he doesnt know if he's going or coming.
anonymous Dec 7th, 2011 12:25am report
Both want to be with each other so badly but with the circumstance that they are in, it's very difficult to be in an actual relationship. Both have different views on love and what a relationship should actually be and that results in both feeling like its all coming to an end and it's time to go their separate ways. One way or another, something is there but drake making his claim to wanting something different to make himself happy.

He talks about how you always have the one girl that you can't leave but you guys arent good for one another because things change and you distance from one another, hence somethings been missing, so you want to leave her but she loves you back and its diffucult for you as well because you guys don't want to see each other with someone else.
anonymous Nov 26th, 2011 11:27pm report
I feel as this song is petraying that todays generation tells us true love is not real and as a result .... to show real love is the wrong thing to do.... However drake wants to show real love but doesnt because todays generation tells him its wrong!
