Kiwi Lyrics

She worked her way through a cheap pack of cigarettes
Hard liquor mixed with a bit of intellect
And all the boys, they were saying they were into it
Such a pretty face, on a pretty neck

She's driving me crazy, but I'm into it, but I'm into...

I don't think Harry is a shallow person, the lyrics have a lot of anger and passion in them and I'm not buying the narrative that this is simply about a one night stand, a femme fatale, prostitution. etc. His songs have multiple points of views (he's not always writing in his own perspective), and he's said that the album is about one person. He's also said that Kiwi is a favorite of his. Therefore this isn't just a random fun song. I'm almost certain Kiwi satirizes Babygate.

"When she's alone she goes home to a cactus, in a black dress she's such an actress" sounds like it's about Briana. Actually, every verse is about lies, pretense, fakeness. "She worked her way through a cheap pack of cigarettes, Hard liquor mixed with a bit of intellect" is about putting up a facade. The emphasis on "It's like I paid for it, it's like I paid for it, I'm gonna pay for this" alludes to how Louis was punished with Babygate, and the day Simon flew him to LA to have a "private discussion" (presumably about being less flamboyant)

Then, there's two things in the music video that may be coincidences but I find it funny. The woman is smoking and drinking and saying she's having a baby...and there was a picture of Briana drinking while she was supposedly "pregnant", which is used as evidence that Briana was never pregnant and all of this is BS. Second of all, the kids are all throwing cake at each other....sounds familiar? When One Direction performed at a gay bar, all of them happy, Louis and Harry closer than ever, and Louis had cake all over him. This day is known as the last day of Louis' freedom. Also worth mentioning is that Harry tweeted "Cake gate." in 2015.

And to wrap all of this up; everyone is talking about this song being related to New Zealand because of the title. And you know who's a New Zealander? Dan Wooton...I'm not going to get into how he's a shitty person but just know that he plays a big role in Louis' closeting.

My interpretation is that he is mocking the music industry and the stereotypical ‘rockstar’, The lyrics are told from the perspective of perhaps a famous musician who is singing about a women, this song could also be making fun of the portrayal of women in classic rock. the sniff sound in the second verse and the loud and obnoxious tone of the song is making the rock narrative clearer.

well.. if u look at a kiwi.. it looks like sperms coming towards an ovary... and also... it’s not about the whole song but i remember reading somewhere that this song was about girl and a guy who had hooked up... and this bit is about her going home and using a ‘cactus’ (sex toy) to pleasure herself as he couldn’t satisfy her. ‘actress’ represents the girl ‘faking it’ to satisfy the man.

im gonna keep this short but i strongly think that louis wrote this song and gave it to harry because it didn’t fit louis’s like voice or something idk or i think harry wrote this song because simon, eleanor, or brianna took louis away from him and the really upbeat music is like him spilling out his rage or something like that.

this isn't an interpretation, but all the larries and people saying it's about babygate are literally causing me to lose brain matter. also no it's not "Kendall i wasn't interested" or "Kendall is with infant" why would it be that. why would harry write a song about louis' life. he wouldn't invade someone's privacy like that, it's not his situation to write about. it's supposed to be a mockery of classic rock, and how misogynistic rock culture can be. at least that's my take.

Okay just hear me out (btw I’m a hard core Larry so if that annoys you go ahead to the next pls) and I’m going to make this as simple as I can… what if Harry is singing through Louis’ perspective about the situation with briana and the baby and custody and things? Like with the whole “she’s driving me crazy, but I’m into it, I’m KIND OF into it”. Notice the way he phrases that sentence by using the words “kind of”… as if he (Louis) is into Briana, but doesn’t want to come to the idea that he is in fact attracted to her in some way? Since he’s been having feelings for Harry for a much longer time, so suddenly being attracted to this woman seems odd and a bit off to him (Louis)?
Another reason why I believe that this song might be in relations to the incident with Louis’ and briana’s baby is because in the chorus, Harry sings “I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business”. This might be related to the time where Louis actually had to fight for a shared custody of Freddie? Since briana was reluctant? Yes? No? Okay moving on…

So, nearing the end of the song, Harry sings “and now she’s all over me it’s like I payed for it, it’s like I payed for it, IM GOING TO PAY FOR THIS”. The phrasing of “I’m going to pay for this”. Why would he (Louis) say that? Unless of course he’s feeling guilty about something…what could he be feeling guilty about? Oh I don’t know, maybe the fact that while this was going on, the thoughts of Harry and what Harry would think was playing at the back of his mind… so the question is, WHO is going to make Louis pay for what he did? No other than Harry of course.

Okay I would explain this better but I need to fold the dishes good bye

This song carries out a sense of guilt and sexual passion

I think when it says about a cactus and that she's an actress, it means that she goes home to a prick but she's faking the love for the 'prick'

KIWI is probably related to Harry’s relationship with Kendall Jenner, model and sort of an actress. Kendall faked a pregnancy to her sister in 2016 as a joke, being that Kendall is the only sister in that family without a child and everyone pressures Kendall about children. Maybe Harry laughed it off, maybe not. Harry already has a child, one daughter that he had with an X Factor Fan. Harry does not need to be surprised like that again. I just have to say here that not everything that the Kardashians do is funny or entertaining. It is also difficult for me to accept that Harry Styles seems to be surrounded by Elite Illuminati / Satanists.

Once during one direction's performance, a Kiwi was thrown onto the stage towards Harry.
Legends say that it was thrown by Kendall.
So KIWI is probably about his relationship with Kendall
So as someone said kiwi probably stands for kendall I wasn't interested

    Sorry;) it's just a terrible joke !!

Hear me out. Harry said Kiwi was one of the first songs he wrote for album. That would probably make it around January if 2016. On Khloe Kardashians show in January 2016, Kendall Jenner made a prank phone call to sister, Kim, to tell her that she was pregnant ( obviously a prank). KIWI could stand for Kendall Is With Infant . Harry said when he wrote the song it started out as a joke. So I think the song is based on Kendall’s prank, because the father of her baby would be Harry. He wrote a whole scenario of how this woman, with her beauty, ensnared him in her little game. She was an actress who claimed she would make him a father anyway she could. She probably spooked him with that prank call....even just joking about it ! Lol

I think this may be about Caroline Flack and their brief relationship. She was an older woman, who was probably more experienced and worldly than Harry was at 17 and he probably couldn’t believe his luck.

He loves kiwi cupcakes, babbies and puppies but ntg means to him as much as louie's love;)
Harry cannot live the feeling that Louis doesn't love him anymore or maybe he loves someone more than me he's just tryna be a possessive boyfriend while all this drama is going on louis loves to watch harold crave for him he kinda plays along although harold is being skeptical and grumpy, this guy wants all the attention and taco's just for himself ;p

GUYS. GUYS. GUYS, GUYS, GUYS. What is up with your minds? He’s not singing about a prostitute that he’s fallen in love with! Just because ONE lyric sounds like it doesn’t mean it is. Like, guys. Just stop.

It’s about a girl from Oceania. He’s gone crazy for her. And also, it apparently started out as a joke. And you wouldn’t write a song about a prostitute anyway, imagine what the public would think of you! Prostitution is ILLEGAL! Ok, let me carry on. Also, Harry has another song named Cherry, probably from the fruit. It could be the same with this song, not that it’s a girl from New Zealand or anything. The girl from Oceania also has a husband or bf (idk what, maybe even wife or gf) hence the line, ‘She goes home to a cactus’. The line about her nose being the Holland Tunnel is basically a metaphor describing how she does cocaine, her nose is always congested from cocaine, like how the Holland Tunnel is always congested.

I’m a Larry shipper so if you think this will offend you please don’t read any further, I also by no means, mean to disrespect or hate on anyone related to Larry, I simply want to share my theory. This is a reach and I’m sure this song is just a song Harry wrote because he was in a good mood. Anyways so my theory is that the song is about how Simon or Eleanor or Briana (or possibly a mixture) took Louis from Harry. I think we all remember the photos we got of Louis covered in cake, back in the one direction days. These photos are sad to look at because a lot of people think they are the last photos we got of Louis’ flamboyant self. Anyway so I thought maybe the lyrics “I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business” might be saying that Simon took Harrys baby (Louis) and now he has to move on because he’s none of his business. Or it’s about the whole Briana situation. The lyrics “she goes home to a cactus, in a black dress, she’s such an actress” might be saying that Eleanor or Briana go home to a cactus (Louis) because he’s not happy in his situation. The lyrics “she’s such an actress” might point to the whole beard theory as well. The lyric “she sits beside me like a silhouette” might be referring to how Eleanor can always be seen trying to catch up to Louis (sticking by his side) while he tries to walk ahead. The lyric video also might point to those iconic cake photos, with all the kids throwing cake. Basically saying Louis was just a kid, having fun, and simon took that away from him. I thought that because this is such a chaotic and loud song it’s like he’s just spouting about everything he’s mad about in a fit of rage.

( this analysis is only about the lines ‘when she’s alone she goes home to a cactus, in a black dress, she’s such an actress) it’s not about the whole song but i remember reading somewhere that this song was about girl and a guy who had hooked up, and this bit is about her going home and using a ‘cactus’ (sex toy) to pleasure herself as he couldn’t satisfy her. ‘actress’ represents the girl ‘faking it’ to satisfy the man.

i also read somewhere that this song is supposedly about louis and briana, supposedly about a ‘one night stand’ which is what many people believe happened between her and louis , but i’m not too sure how much i believe this one x
