[Verse 1]
Been a lot of places
I've been all around the world
Seen a lot of faces
Never knowing where I was
On the horizon
But I know, I know, I know, I know
The sun will be rising back home

Leaving out the cases
Ain't packing up and...

This song is about the One Direction boys telling Niall not to forget where he belongs, because he was hanging out with 5sos a lot and not with One Direction as much. ;)

Liam Horan contributed towards the lyrics. They were inspired by the bouts of homesickness, he suffers when on tour. "Luckily, I have my four best mates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely," he told Billboard magazine. "Of course we all miss home at times. Who wouldn't, being on the road all year long? Wouldn't give it up for anything though."

This song is about how Niall, Louis, Liam, Harry & (use to be Zayn) don't get carried away in the media. They try to stay humble and not let the fame get to them. This song is about their life as One Direction and not taking it for granted. They try their hardest everyday, to please many people. They are proud of where they came from and all they have done. Remembering how their lives changed in just a short amount of time. This song is a really good song with a lot of meaning behind it. No matter how big they get they will never forget how their lives were before One Direction and they will never forget everything that has happened for all the years they have been together as a band. If it wasn't for the Xfactor their wouldn't be a band all the teenaged girls are crazy about nobody would have ever heard the name One Direction. We owe it all to you boys!

So basically, this songs has lots of meaning behind it. From the boys' point of view, it holds the message that they won't let fame change who they are. They dearly miss their families back home, but know they will always be supported and never alone. Home is where the heart is, One Direction have became the best of friends and when they are together, they are at home. Fame won't change who they are.
Also, in a way, this song can be for occasions in which we feel lonely sometimes. There are always those days where you are mad at your parents or family, or feel unloved by them. This song portrays the true meaning of family, togetherness, and home. Home can be anywhere your heart desires. Always remember that whenever you are alone, or feel that you are unloved, don't forget where you belong. There is always someone that will love you, that will stand by you. The proof is in that song.

The song is about the fans and how they have been with the boys the whole way. Niall even said that they wrote this song for us and that we have gone so far with them. So don't forget where you belong Directioners.

At first when I heard the song name I thought, "This doesn't sound Like a good song. I listened to it and figured out its meaning.
It's obviously about the boys missing home and that they will always be the same boys no matter what they go through.

This song is basically saying their experience on their journey and tours. How they deal with their new lives(fame)but in the other side they will never forget were they came from, who they are before, and the story of their lives. No matter how far they've gone they will still look back were they started. :) Looking back. Very nice song of the boys! I love one direction :D @NelrisC

It is about them not changing who they were/are and being the same person they were before the were famous back home. Also it is about them being on tour seeing lots of facing meaning the fans.

This song is pretty self explaining but it's about how they've been on tour and all around the world and although it's been great, they still haven't forgotten where home is and they know that they're never alone. And that they've managed to not let fame change who they are.
