What Makes You Beautiful Lyrics
Don't know what for
You're turning heads when you walk through the door
Don't need make up
To cover up
Being the way that you are is enough
Everyone else in the room can see it
everyone else but you
Baby you light up...

This song is soooooo cute. Its about a guy who likes a girl because she "doesnt know shes beautiful", and thats what he likes about her. He likes that shes not cocky and arrogant about her looks, but modest and has a good personality instead. He looks past her looks and sees who she really is inside, and he finds her perosnality attractive, not just her looks. Every guy needs to be like that.

It's about a girl who does not think that she is beautiful because she doesn't know it yet but the guy tells her that she is beautiful like when Liam says "You're insecure don't know what for you're turning heads when you walk through the door" and that the guy is saying that she is insecure and that she is turning her head when she walks through the door and then Liam says "Don't need make-up to cover up being the way that you are is enough" and he is also saying that she doesn't need make-up to cover her identity and that the way she is enough.

I think the song had some instruments like drum and some other instruments and the song come from one direction. But it told me the story of my life to be like, but it’s learning to be different other than recording artists. I think the song is really empowering to everyone’s expensive to the music. We’re very pleased by the song into every word into our head but it’s ear worming. It made me happy to get the songs get through.

I think this song is very good and also great grooves, then the lyrics are spending around and around, we had great music fun to play with, one direction would help Beth her vocals, accept Philip, they are going to cover for their songs.

I think this song is about being in love, it’s very good and very catchy songs, then my producer will come in and talk to me, about this song. He’s from the uk. He’s really good at songwriting and also. Very good feel to it. It’s a rocker.

Point number one,There this girl who thinks that she's not really beautiful aka she's very insecure about herself.
Point number two, The girl is being loved by this guy who looks through her all the flaws and thinks she's beautiful naturally..he's totally in lover with her actions, smiles just everything!
Point number three, the guy is indicating to see herself from his eyes!
And fellas! Beauty comes with what? Whats beauty actually?
That guy is trying to make her feel real,goddamn..i love ths song!

This song is about them liking a girl because she’s beautiful, and she doesn’t know it. Aka, she’s insecure. This is horrible because they are saying that her not being confident in herself is what makes her pretty. It’s telling young girls that you have to have little self esteem to be liked by a guy. They never tell her to get confident. They never tell her to start believing in herself. They tell her to remain in a state of insecurity so guys can objectify her and tell her that she’s beautiful instead of having her believe she’s perfect for HERSELF. I hate this song and how it’s brainwashed girls into thinking that to be beautiful, you can’t have confidence and to have confidence comes by boys saying you’re beautiful. And did anyone else notice how they only mention physical features like her hair and smile. Never about intelligence, personality, bravery, respectability. It’s just about them glorifying her lack of confidence like that same insecurity can’t lead to greater things like the inability to say no when a guy wants something more than she’s willing to give, eating disorders, self harm (like when Zayn left, really shows you how the “message” of this song got through to the fan base), and overall disgust in the reflection of herself in the mirror. Like us girls need to be told by a boy we are pretty to believe it. That comes internally.

It's about a Girl who isn't sure if she's beautiful, or not. The guy(s) then tell the girl, and then she believes that. She then hangs out with the guy(s) afterwards.

I think that this song is about a girl who feels insecure about herself and doesn't feel beautiful, but a boy loves her just the way she is, inside and out!!

This song is so basic, it makes me suicidal

It's a guy singing about that he loves everything about a girl and she doesn't know that she's beautiful but if she could see through his eyes.maybe she would understand that she's wrong and she is beautiful and she just doesn't know her smile and her actions.make him fall for her and how she doesn't know that she's beautiful is the fact that makes her beautiful cause she doesn't act like she's a princess or all that she acts like a normal person and is insecure but that's why she's beautiful in the inside and on the outside

Why the hell would anyone think that producing a song that is about the exact same thing that every other song is about. Yes we've heard, you saw a girl, thought she was pretty, had someone else write this sugarcoated song for you while you sat around a table admiring your Maybachs while drinking bourbon and smoking cigars, made a bunch of instrument machines play instrumentals, sang it, auto tuned it, did a crappy video, styled your hair, made another hundred thousand dollars, and bought three Bentleys, lets compare you to the Beatles a band who writes experimental and different songs, sings them, sells them, and makes money they earned.
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I don't think she's insecure, I think she's modest. And there's no mention of love. Yes, it is counter-productive. This poor girl doesn't want to be loved for her looks, and here this guy is sexualizing her just cause she exists. You should see the comments on other sites about this song. It's really kind of sad.

It is about girls who have insecurities and need to be told more often that they are beautiful inside and out. They sing what every girl wants to here, especially people going through hard times and insecurity. Other songs that have a similar topic by One Direction are 'Little Things' and 'Diana"
These 3 songs mean the world to me.
