The Priest and the Matador Lyrics

Here I lie
Staring At
Clouds IN Shapes of
dogs and cats
I hear a woman
Start to yell
"Oh dear God, I think he fell"

I'm the arrow,
Shot straight to hell
From the bow of William Tell.
My body lies
Kissing the ground
Like a cross...

If you listen to the song all the best cowboys have daddy issues you will hear that the end of that song and the intro to this song are the same. He is talking about his life and how it feels to not know your true father its a sad song but that's how I hear it.

it is definatley the suicidal thing but i think he does it more randomly, the two songs infront of it on the cd go with it at the end of "all the best cowboys have daddy issues" he says "Here i lie, Here i lie" and "negative space" leads into "The preist and the matador" Which have the opening lines "Here i lie", staring at. Its a three song story. ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING,

I think that this song is about a man committing suicide, in the beginning of the song he describes himself as he is dying 'Shot straight to hell, from the bow of, William Tell, my body lies, kissing the ground, like a cross turned upside down'
He is also angry at a woman because he says 'i hear a woman start to yell "o dear god I think he fell'
I think that he is full of anger and regret, and he couldn't find anything to help him with that, at one moment he describes a priest coming up to his body to mourn, but he says that the priest is wasting his time because he's already lost is faith so I think that he's already convinced himself that the world is out to get him that no one can help him get over his depression, at another point he is describing a man (who I believe to be a paramedic because he says that he'll will help the man live) but the man tells him to get the f*** away, meaning he doesn't want help
near the end of the song he begins to die and is happy about it, 'i think this could be it, I hear them start to state, the time of death is half past six' then he continues to say 'i'm the arrow shot straight to hell' he is giving some regret by saying he is going to hell, but he's had enough of life and wants to see what else there is
