Emily comes home from school,
Grabs onto her daddy's hand,
He says "Baby girl, what's wrong with you?"
She says "Please don't make me go back there again"

She said "I wish there was some way
to make them stop it"
So he drives down...

We shouldn't give up. What we are just to fit in society rather be what we are what we're taught and stand our ground.

This song is about an actual Emily who Taylor went to school with. She dies in a boat accident at the end she dies in real life but in the song she opens her eyes. This is a very sad song and its an unreleased song.

You have to respect the way you were brought up. You can't change who you are in your heart, you are always the same and every road leads you back to home.

No offense to all the others who gave their interpretation
    ( Don't get me wrong , you're
Right ) but that's just it's literal meaning, the meaning behind it is that you should not lose who you are, you shouldn't give up or give in to temptations. It's about certain morals and values that you were taught by your parents , this is saying that no matter what life throws your way , you can't lose these morals or values cause basically you weren't brought up that way.
