   I'm interpreting this as how he is an aromantic, wanting to feel and reciprocate the romantic love of others but he can't and ended up breaking this girl's heart..

   I think this is about the fact he is aro/ace and is wanting a romantic relationship with someone.he might of been in one already,but after realising his aro/ace,he needs to break up with her,but he doesn't want to break her heart.

   I actually read this as a love song to his mum. He was going out on tour (especially going to the U.S. for the first time [I saw him in Charlotte, NC. He was brilliant!]). I feel like the woman he is talking to is his Mum as he's about to be away from her for an extended period of time. (he's a very young man away from home for the first time!) The lyrics: "I got your letter

   But all I ever wanna talk about is you.
   Think I zoned out again,
   But I still tried my best.

   I hope you were impressed."
   Knowing what I do about Robbie, I feel like this is a love letter to his Mum.

   I think this song is about heart break on Valentine’s Day.

   But at that moment that’s not what we think of. “That’s not what’s scaring me”
   Getting up on your feet

   Meaning all the fans of Cavetown are waiting and he wishes it was enough but he misses who knew him best.

   Meaning he’s playing gigs now. Touring around. But he feels alone and numb and empty. Blacking out before a show because nothing feels real or perminant anymore
   
   The bridge is a flashback
   
   Saying he’s just trying to buy those few seconds as she was walking out.
   
   She turns around
   And says happy Valentine’s Day.
   
   And final crack in his stability. Completely breaking himself in that moment.

   I'm pretty sure it's about him not wanting to go on tour because he's gonna be homesick and miss his friends (and we all know how much Robbie loves his friends) but I have no clue
