   Sally in love with jack skellengton but he too blinded by christmas to see her feeling for him like a guy I like he knows how I feel about him yet not seeing how much means to me so this song reminds me of him.

   I agree with both of the interpretations. It can be in both ways in not just teenage love, but also person in any age as possible. Danny Elfman did great for choosing Amy Lee for singing this song. She gave the song more feeling into it. That she is really really want to know if they will ever be or never be. Personally! I think she will be a better Sally in my book. Not just her singing but I believe in voice too. :)

   the meaning of this song is easy to get. It's Sally's Feeling's for Jack in a nightmare befor christmast. It's a song written by Tim Burton. Is shouldn't be here

   This is how a teenager, or anyone, really, feels when they really like somebody and they're wondering if they like them back. The girl in the song likes a boy very much but is afraid he doesn't like her back.
   "And does he notice my feelings for him?
   And will he see how much he means to me?
   I think it's not to be
   What will become of my dear friend
   Where will his actions lead us then?
   Although I'd like to join the crowd
   In their enthusiastic cloud
   Try as I may, it doesn't last"
   
   Plain and simple. For a lot of Evanescence songs, you have to dig really deep and do a lot of research to find the meaning of the song, but this meaning is RIGHT THERE! And then when she repeats:
   "And will we ever end up together?
   No, I think not, it's never to become
   For I am not the one"
   she wants to be with the boy, but she knows she can't because she's "not the one."
